The Trip

Our first trip away in the caravan was a great success. We survived all of the storms and rain with only a small leak that was easily fixed. When it wasn't raining the weather was lovely. The kids had a ball riding around the caravan park on their bikes and spent hours on the giant jumping pillow. Love those things! Benny didn't want to go near it at first but it didn't take him long to get the hang of it...

Ali was very proud of the fact that she learnt how to do skids on her bike... She calls them burnouts!

Andrewis growing up way too fast but the good news is that that makes him a great slave, whoops, I mean helper. Here he is packing away all of the poles while Mark puts down the camper. The camper came with about 15 extra poles which made it fun trying to work out which ones we actually needed. We've got it sorted now.

And just to finish off I have one layout to share. I have been doing a bit too much purchasing and need to do some more crafting. I love the little flower I made here. I just started folding, scrunching and distressing and it all came together. I'll be trying them again.

These are some photos of Ali's 4th birthday. Now I just have to do the photos from her 3rd birthday. She will be five in just under a month

Andrew will be SEVEN in just 12 days!!!! When did that happen??

She's Baaaaaaack

Well this has been my 'gonna' project for ages now so I thought I had better put fingers to keyboard and update, even if it's just for me. LOL!

Mmmmmmm Thinking back.... what's been happening?

Started of the year with a BANG with a scrap retreat in Wingham care of SCRAPSIDAISY and Leisa's wonderful team there. It was lots of fun meeting the girls and getting lots of scrapping done too. I was so lucky to be asked to teach a class during the retreat. I really hope everyone enjoyed it. I was very nervous! This is the layout from my class...

Actually that was almost the layout from my class. This was the original that Andrew decided to test out his rolling stamp on one afternoon and the layout had to be redone so it was just a little bit different.

I really hope there will be anoher retreat next year. I LOVE being able to share these times with these girls...

The kiddos...

Andrew is loving school. Still swimming and trying out Karate. He's finding it a bit technical at the moment and just wants to RUN and RUN. We'll see how it goes.

Ali is loving Kinder. She is still swimming too and has now started Calisthenics. Yes, I am a Cala mum now!

Bopper is cruising, has the biggest cuddles and thinks he runs the house. He is loving swimming too. He just cracks me up every day!

Mark is still working hard and we get to see each other occasionally!

My big news at the moment is a sore head. On valentines day I took the kiddos to a church/school picnic. After they had the kids races they called up the mums for a race. The last thing I remember is being lined up at the start line and then lying on the ground being told there was an ambulance on the way and then being in the ambulance. As I got to the hospital I became aware of what was happening. I had a CAT scan done and they found some bleeding on the brain. I then got transferred by ambulance to a city hospital where they scared me with all the possible reasons that I could have had this bleeding and all of the tests I would have to have. Luckly they were satisfied with my next scan that the bleed was caused by the fall and not the other way around. I got to spend the next 3 nights in hospital being asked every hour or two where I was and the day, moth and year.

I have been home for a week now and felt really good today for the first time in almost 2 weeks. Hopefully the headached are on the way out now. It is just amazing how much damage a bump to the head can do. I'll be lining up next year with a stack hat and body armour!!

My MUM has been amazing helping out here for the last two weeks. There are not enough words to say how thankful I am. And of course that has left Dad to hold up the fort at home and be helping out with K and A there. People have been so generous with cooking food and just sending their best wishes too.

Just another reminder to me to TO PASS IT ON...

Andrew loved his first AFL game at the MCG on Sunday. We didn't come away with a win but we did come home with a very excited boy.

Nana is so proud!!!!

Central Australia

It's been so long that it took me 10 minutes to work out my username and password combination, but here I am back in my little corner of the world.

We have been holidaying!

Earlier this month We met up with Mum amd Dad in Alice Springs and took a trip to Uluru as well. It was an amazing place to visit and one that we will go back to again. There is so much to see and learn there. It is the first place I have ever been to that I have come away wanting to know more.

So here are a few snaps from the trip...

This photo comes with a cute story. Right outside the door of the first place we stayed was a wallaby feeding area. The kids got bags of food from the offices and spend ages feeding the cute little critters.

All of a sudden Ali yells out. "It's got a baby! It's having a baby."

I'll be honest and say that I didn't really believe her but I went over to have a look anyway. After another minute or two a little joey appears in the mother wallaby's pouch. It was so cute. The wallabies are so small to begin with but the joeys are tiny. We saw a couple more with joeys too.

Last of all Mum and Dad looked after the kids while Mark and I had a day out. We went quad bike riding out on a cattle property. It was so much fun. I was a bit unco to start with but got the hang of it and had a great ride.

This is just a small part of the property we were on.

Vista - Good Riddence

Last week we got rid of Vista and went back to Windows XP. So far so good. Those little bits and pieces that weren't working seem to be all fine. Hopefully it will allow me to blog better too.

First of all is this little video. It's for MUM and it's late but I can finally do it now. (Did I mention that I don't like Vista?)

And now some layouts. Long story short...I had heaps of layouts waiting to be finished and I put my mind to it last night and got 10 finished. Only 6 more to go. I'll just share a few...

Andrew and Ali have both just had their birthdays. My babies are now 6 and 4! I'll post a couple of photos next time.

Ben is talking up a storm. Andrew and Ali (and Mark and I) have great fun getting him to repeat lots of words back to us. He calls us all by name now and it is gorgeous when he goes and stands by the bench where the fruit bowl is, stretches his hand up and says "abble". He also says water, ta, ball, uh-oh, door and a few others.

Well that will do for now. I'm going to put my feet up.

Sharon has returned!!

Well the past couple of months have passed by in the blink of an eye. We spent most of January in the pool at Emerald Lake and the rest of the time shopping for the perfect lunch box.

January 30th was THE BIG DAY!

Yes Andrew is a school boy and loving it!!

Andrew's favourite thing at school is Icy Pole Day. He also loves the computer lab and now wants to be a SECRET SPY when he grows up.

Ali Pops has started kinder. Finally it is her kinder and she let me know it the other day.

She had been in the toilet at kinder and when she came out I asked her if she had flushed. She put her hands on her hips and said, "It's my Kinder Mum. Don't tell me what to do." She is so feisty and so funny at the same time...

The Bopper (aka Ben) is getting more gorgeous every day. He gives the best cuddles too. He also sings. There are a few songs that we sing a lot and he will sing along to them or just start up on his own. The best is, Somewhere over the rainbow. He is not singing the actual words but he is singing his version and sings it note for note. It's devine. This song is also perfect in the middle of the night. It puts him staright back to sleep on those rare occasions when he does wake up. Just last week work up in the middle of the night. I was just about to go in and settle him when he stopped crying and started singing. He got through 2 verses before he drifed off to sleep again. It was beautiful to listen to as I stood outside his door.

He now knows how to let us know what he wants. He will walk up to it. Throw his hand up in the air in a very dramatic way and "uuuahhh" until he gets our attention. You should see the tanty when he doesn't get it though. Talk about dramatic!

Ben FINALLY decided that walking was worth the effort...

Mark and I enjoyed a short holiday up in Queensland back in December. Nana and Pop were wonderful and took the kids on a little holiday of their own.

I was proud of myself. I said I would go on all the scarey rides at Movie World. AND I DID!

I only have one layout to share...

On last count I have 12 layouts just waiting for journalling. (The story of my life). The good news is that that means I have been getting lots of scrapping done.

And just to finish off is a little photo board I put together of the kiddos. The actual photos are on the wall in 9 frames. I also made this version to print for scrapping...

Just a Quickie!

The Kiddos went to visit Santa. Ben wasn't very impressed, not even with a chocolate in his hand. Thankfully they had a little stocking stool that he could sit on. He had fun sliding off it too. Finally we got this one...

Ali chose her own clothes. Her red spotty dress, maroon pants and pink shoes! Beautiful!!!

Well Ben has decided that he is so good at standing up that he doesn't need to walk! He is a very groovy dancer though.

Welcome to the World Little Alex!

First of all I am an Aunty again!!!!!

Little Alex George arrived just before midnight on November 11th. I have had a visit and a cuddle and hope to go back for more tonight or tomorrow and this time I will remember my camera!!!

Ben has a new trick. Mark and I were standing in the kitchen the other night when Mark said, "Quick look behind you" and there was Ben just standing there on his own. He only does it a couple of times a day but he loves to give himself a big clap!

I got some scrapping done a couple of weeks ago. These are all projects for Leisa at Scrapsidaisy. They are using two of the lines from the GDC Stuios range.

Yes I am joining the ranks of those bloggers who are hopeless at updating. Oh well, that's life.

One layout here to share of my Ali Pops.

After seeing the play, Puss In Boots, she wanted to dress up just like the princess. She wasn't satisfied with the lace apron I tied around her hear so I fished out my wedding veil. She was thrilled. The colours are a bit off in this pic but you get the idea.

When I was looking through some of my older layouts I cam across this one comparing Ali & Andrew at about 6 months. I then fished out the following photo of Ben. He wasn't as messy when he was eating but they sure do look alike...

Hopefully I will be able to udate very soon about the arrival of my new neice or nephew!!

Spring is here!!!

How good is this Spring weather? Well not today because it was wet and miserable but the other days have been great. I can't wait until Daylight Savings starts too!

Well the Sanna's seem to have finally come out of the flu and colds cycle. It's been an awful year for it. I hardly know anyone who hasn't been struck down at some stage.

We celebrated Ben's first birthday and Baptism a couple of weeks ago. YES! IT'S BEEN A YEAR ALREADY!!!! I don't have any good photos of his celebrations to share yet (Fiona????) but I do have a bad one.

This is Ben opening one of his presents. He really didn't get the whole wrapping paper caper yet. I am sure that will come in time...

Told you it was bad.

I have one layout to share tonight. This is one I whipped up the other night. Well actually it took me about 6 hours. I just couldn't get the creativity flowing but I am happy with how it worked out. I had a little bit of Cuttlebug fun with it too.

I just had to scrap about this. It's Ali's version of the song, Little Peter Rabbit.

And by the way her face is actually painted like a tiger but I think i'll get away with it.

Tonight, instead of catching up on the housework, I finished off three layouts that I had started off ages ago. I'll photograph then tomorrow for next time.

WOW Wii

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY DAD

I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!

Mark & Andrew went off shopping the other day and came home with a Wii. They've been having lots of fun with it. I finally got my hands on it on Friday while Fee Jen and Debbie were around for some scrapping. Debbie actually got a layout done. Jen and I went so far as to get some photos and papers out and Fee managed to open her bag to get her jumper out.
We ended up turning on the Wii and had some fun bowling, playing tennis, some boxing and some monster truck racing. We had the big screen down and had lots of laughs.

The calls went out for the Scrapbooking Memories Masters a couple of days ago. I didn't get a call this year and I'm Ok with that. I really only had two projects that I was actually happy with (the other two are pretty embarrassing!!!). Rushing and doing it all in just 3 nights just didn't cut it! LOL!!

This was my single layout... It needed to be a shape other than thr traditional square or rectangle.

And this was my Calendar...

I'm not going to post the others. I don't want to claim them as mine!!! LOL!!

My Cuttlebug arrived a couple of days ago. It's so much fun. I've embossed everything in sight. Look out for lots of embossing on upcoming layouts and cards.

Sharon's Been Scrapping

Yes I have been pumping out a few layouts. My photo folder is bulging at the moment so it is time to put my head down and bum up and get some more layouts done.

So here's some of what I have been doing...

For this first layout I would like to formally thank Mrs Debbie Kingston for her amazing and skillful drawing of a duck template for me to use. (Is that what you told me to say Deb?).

Have you ever seen cuter little duckies.

Debbie also introduced me to the wonderful world of the Cuttlebug! Check out a close up on the duck with his little spots. I LOVE the embossing that the Cuttlebug does...OK yes I confess! I have ordered one!

This next layout is a fun one with Andrew & Ali on a freezing cold winter day with their ICE CREAMS!!! Crazy kids! Check out the new Fiskars punch on the side there. (Available at Scrapsidaisy).

And lastly a quickie of Ali at her very best.

I am working for a couple of days later this week. I am looking forward to it as I haven't taught for over a year. It's a Prep class. My favourite! I've made a few scrappy purchases in the past couple of weeks so this will help pay for them - Phew!

Andrew is having his Olympic-a-Thon at kinder tomorrow. He is so excited. They were told today that they will be presented with a medal at the end. Well, you would have thought he was told he would be getting a million dollars. He is so excited. He keeps talking about getting his "metal."

Here I Am!

HI!

Here I am. I've been hiding under my doona wishing these freezing cold days away. Well not really, but some days that's what I wish I was doing.

Just a little bit of scrapping going on here at the moment. This is a layout from two weeks ago...

And last week silly me decided to enter the SM Masters competition at the very last moment. Which was totally crazy as we were also going away. I managed to get it all done in 3 nights. I didn't do too bad under the pressure if I may say so myself. Here's a peek...

OK OK,I know that wasn't a real peek but there are rules to follow.

We had a CRAPPY weekend away. Ali and Ben and I were sick. It's so hard to have fun when you feel so BLAH!!!!! We did manage to survive a little bit of swimming at the lovely indoor heated pool and a local park. I highly, highly recomend the Big 4 caravan park in Angleasea though. Fantastic place. Hopefully we will get back there for a more pleasant time soon.

We didn't take too many hotos but here are a few happy snaps...

The second last photo these is of Mark reading to the kids last night. Andrew is holding Brownie Bear. He is visiting from kinder for a couple of nights.

I'm WAITING WAITING WAITING for my new neice or nephew to arrive. He or she is 6 days overdue and counting.

Finally, here are a few pics from Mother's day. I made them all come outside and perform in front of the camera. Andrew, of course over performed!

I had a package turn up last week. For 25 words or less I received a pizza box filled with Steadler products from a competition in SM magazine. Yay!! It was a nice surprise.

I am racking my brain for anything interesting to add but nothing is coming to mind.

As I sit here typing Ali and Andrew are having a Greco Roman Wrestling match in the TV room. It’s gonna end in tears!

Not much to report around here. I did have the carpets cleaned on Thursday. That was a bit of a highlight!!! I know it’s sad isn’t it.

Some scrapping…

Going with the dentist theme I finished off this layout of Andrew and his trip to the dentist.

And this layout is of Andrew and a couple of his kinder friends. No he doesn’t go to kinder with the grim reaper I just thought I should blur out the other faces before I posted this on the web.

This layout is using the Basic Grey Archaic range. Fantastic papers. I got a lovely delivery from Scrapsidaisy this week, including lots of Creat Paper. Gorgeous!!!! This layout started out as part of a challenge from the Scrapsidaisy Forum and then it morphed into something else.

Ali is now in time out for thumping Andrew!

I captured some great shots of Ben last weekend. Here’s one that I love.

Before I go to bed...

I was planning on a early night tonight but once again I have failed on this front! So just before I do choof off to bed I'll do a quick update...

I have been doing lots of scrapbooking on my Friday nights. I have only got a photo of one at the moment but will get the others uploaded soon.
This layout was done from a sketch challenge on the Scrapsidaisy Forum. It was just the inspiration I needed.

I am so proud of myself. I have used up HEAPS of 'older' papers in the last couple of months. It's time to go shopping now!!
Since my last post we lost power in the huge wind storms here in Melbourne. 54 hours without electricity!!

We went and visited the school Andrew will be going to next year. It was great! He had his 5th birthday a couple of weeks ago. He thought that meant he was going to school now. I had to break the news that he still had a whole 9 month to go.

Andrew turned 5...

Ali turned 3...

The kids had a great party with all of their friends and family at a local play centre. And the best thing about that was that there was no washing up for me!!!!!!!

Ben has a top tooth poking through. He sits up for a while on his own. He is thinking about crawling but spends most of his time like this...

Is there anybody still out there?

Yeah yeah yeah I know. It's been a while. So what's been happening. Not too much. Life's just busy.

Ben has started eating solids. I have been a but disappointed though because he loves his food so much and hardly makes a mess at all so there are no messy photos!!! This is the best so far...

I've been doing a bit of scrapping. I've got one favourite to share and a few others I have to copy so I will post them soon.

I've been a very good girl and have been using up lots of my paper stash so you will notice quite a few older papers on some of the layouts.

I also made the kids some blankets. I made one for Ben first and it was soooooo easy and so gorgeous and warm that I decided to make one each for the other kids. They have already been getting lots of use and I am sure they will be very popular now the days are getting cooler.

That's it for now. I am off to take care of these little possums. I hope to do some blog surfing over the next few days and catch up on a whole lot.

I'm Baaaaaaaaack!

Today is a pyjama day! After a busy week running around and getting used to new routines we are taking it easy, very easy, so I thought it was about time I updated.

So what's been happening?

First of all it turns out that Ali's arm was probably NOT broken! Thank goodness. She was pulling washing off Nana's line and managed to fall on it when a peg snapped (That'll teach her!!) She had it x-rayed and they said it looked OK. By the time I got home I had 2 messages from the doctor asking me to give him a call. He had us come in the next day and have it put in a half plaster. She had the plaster on for a week and managed to wack us all at some stage with it. Those things HURT!! The following week we went for another x-ray. It looked all clear so we have left the plaster off. After favouring it for a couple of days she forgot all about it.

Having the plaster on did not stop her for one second. She was right in the middle of all the rough and tumble. That's our Ali.

Andrew has started 4 year old kinder. He has had shorter sessions this week but he goes for longer next week. It's amazing to think that age wise he could already be at school. I'm glad he's not. Not just because I think that the extra year will be great for him but because I would miss him!!! LOL!! Remind me of this when I am going crazy mid way through the year.

Ben, also known as Benny Bopper, is doing GREAT! He has been rolling on to his tummy for a few weeks now. He gets on to his tummy and is happy for a while but then gets a bit upset. I think he has managed to roll back over a couple of times but haven't actually witnessed it yet. He's going to be another tall boy, with his height right off the charts now. Any extra weight he has now is in his chubby wrists and ankles. I think he needs the extra there as he has a lot of stretching to do.

Ben had a turn in the pool this week when I was at the swimming lessons with Ali & Andrew. He had a bit of a splash around and seemed to enjoy it. I'll start his lessons as soon as I don't have to go in the pool with Ali for her lessons anymore. That will be when she turns 3. She could go in now but the rule is 3! I'll keep hounding them until they change their minds!!!

Mark is still working his butt off. He has an exciting adventure coming up. I'll tell you after the fact - You know internet security and all that!

ME? Well to put it bluntly I have been CRAP with a capital C! I have been exhausted in the most overwhelming way as well as other aches and pains and general crappiness. I kept putting it down to having a baby and my general laziness. As it got worse I felt like a terrible mother. Even as I decided to go to the doctor Andrew asked "Will he help you not be so tired!" OK so that made me feel even worse.

Good News!! I went to the doctor and had lots of blood tests. It turns out I have a condition called Hashimoto's Thyroiditis Disease. Mmmm that word disease doesn't look so good. But it turns out I have an underactive thyroid and that is (hopefully) the cause of all of my symptoms. I'll need to keep it under control with tablets and have regular tests but things are looking up. It will take a while for things to turn around but I tell you the power of the mind is an amazing thing. Just finding out that there is a medical reason for feeling this way has helped me feel so much better. I am not the horrible lazy slob that I was beginning too think I was.

Normally I wouldn't post about medical stuff but I have for 2 reasons.

1. There are lots of wonderful people out there who have been asking about me and I want you to know I am OK and thank you.

I have still been enjoying my Friday nights with the girls. It has only been once a fortnight for a while and I have been missing my trips to the Scrapbook Lady on alternate weeks but until Ben will take a bottle I'll just be scrapping from home.

My Masters Entry

I finally got my mag today. I am sure I was the last one on the East Coast. After flicking through page by page I was happy to find my two projects.

The first was my single layout. This layout was actualy created without the Masters in mind. In fact it may have even been done before the requirements came out. I love that it's just a layout I had done for my own albums. It's the first time I have ever used flowers on a layout for Andrew but it is a Mother's Day layout so Mark can't tell me off!! LOL!

I think they must have had a yellow filter on the camera when they took the photo for the mag. It looks AWFUL in there. This is the pic I took...

In the magazine the large flowers are bright orange, just to give you an idea of how WRONG the colours are. LOL!!

The other HM was for my storage item. I love this. It's really simple but the main thing is that I actually use it. I've had to change the names for the sections around though because I had to add Ben of course!!

AND one of the Masters made one of these for her storage item too so it must have been a good idea!

My double layout was lots of fun. I loved telling the story of how I found out I was pregnant each time. There is an amazing story for each. I know, it's almost a novel!!

And last (and very least) is my mini album. I am SOOOOOOOO not a mini album person so this was a real struggle. It's filled with wonderful people though!!!

I had a bit of a giggle when I saw those featured in the magazine. Mine looks so pathetic. LOL!!!

Well that's it. That's my entry. I am really pleased with my 2 HM's but more so I am really pleased that I have these to add to my albums and desk. Well 3/4 anyway.

Actually I am a FRAUD!!! I still don't have any of my layouts in albums. LOL!!!!!!!

There was also a near disaster tonight. I went downstairs and found that my craft room was leaking in 3 places with all of this wonderful rain we have been getting. The water was just centimetres away from my piles of layouts!!!!!! I take this as a warning!

DEBBIE - If you see this I am sorry I missed your email. I was away for a couple of days!!!! I will be calling you tomorrow!! I bet you are too busy packing though!!

There is so much to do in the next couple of days. I only have one pressie to finalise but I do have Christmas lunch to organise. And yes, I am freaking out about that! And there is still the Christmas cards that I haven't finished.

Guess What?

Sharon did some journaling. That means I have 2 layouts to share. Only 4 more to go!

This first layout is from when Andrew cut his head open earlier this year.

This layout is about the very first time we saw Ali's temper and heard that scream of hers! I just happened to have been taking photos moments earlier so I had the camera around my neck.I never would have imagined that a doll could cause so much trouble. We went home shortly atfer these photos were taken...

My children decided to overdose on Vitamin C tablets yesterday. They thought it would be a nice snack when we weren't looking...and we are talking about a huge bottle. I won’t go into the way that it affects the body. Eeeew! Thank goodness it was not something more serious. It was a lesson learned for all of us.

And thank goodness for the Poison Information Hotlline. What a great service!

The only other news I have, and it's pretty exciting, is that our new, extended, front deck is finished. It looks fantastc and is HUGE!!!! I'll take some pics and post them next time.

That's it for today. I am off to re- redecorate the tree that the kiddos have re-re-re decorated.

It's December...

Well I haven't updated because...

I have wanted to post some of my layouts...

but they are all waiting for journaling...

and that's not done because I don't want to scrap when the house is such a mess...

and the house is such a mess because I am too tired...

which makes me too disorganised...

and that is too depressing...

so I sit on the couch and watch crappy TV shows and eat chocolate!!!

November is half over!

Ben is 2 months old today. No, it's after midnight. You had better make that yesterday.Where has the time gone? He entertains us with his gorgeous smiles now. Andrew & Ali continue dote on him and well...I wont eloberate on what a little poo machine he is!!!! (Insert rolling eyes here!)

Andrew has started his very own scrapbook. In fact he asks almost every day if he can "Do some scrapbooking". He loves using the little blue glue dots. Ali has been having a little play too.

These are a couple of Andrw's first pages. All I have done on them is help him with the spelling of the titles and I wrote the sentences as he told me what he wanted them to say..

I continue to have my scrapping fun on a Friday night. My next post will contain some of my pages. I did get my entry back from the SM Masters competition. The magazine is due out on the 28th of December. With a bit of luck I may have a HM in there somewhere.

Life is busy, busy, busy here. It's just WONDERFUL!! and exhausting too.

I have finished off two layouts. YAY!!!

This first one is from whe Ali was born and lists all her birth stats...

And the I have scraplifted myself and done the same for Ben...

Now I just have to track down a photo of Andrew to do one for him. I have plenty of pics of course but was hoping to find one of him being weighed or measured as well.

I took some snaps of the kiddos the other day that I would like to share. I have actually framed these and two and a half years after painting the walls I am actually going to get some pics up ...well that's the plan.

That's about all for today. Everything is going really well here. Ben continues to be a delight and Andrew & Ali continue to be the little balls of love and energy that they always are. Mark is moving on to new ventures. He has handed in his notice and starts a new job in a couple of weeks as well as working on his own business ventures. It's a very exciting time.

As for me??? My biggest news at the moment is that I am getting good at going to bed early. I was even in bed asleep by 9:35 last night. That has to be some sort of record!!! (Then I was up at 12:30, 4:30 and the 5:45 when Andrew decided it was time to get up!!!)

I don't think that I mentioed in my previous post that Andrew has renamed Ben...

I'm still here!

It's been a little while between posts but I am still here.

Lots going on here. Mostly everyday stuff. Busy with feeds, nappies, cuddles and keeping Andrew & Ali entertained.

Ben is just wonderful. It is amazing how different these first few weeks have been. After having lots of trouble, in the beginning, feeding A & A, Ben has been a breeze. I can't tell you what a difference it has made to getting through each day. It's really hard to actually put into words.

Ben had his first trip to the doctor last week. We discovered that he was tongue tied and could hardly move his tongue at all. With a couple of little snips he is free to move it about now. Mark helped the doctor while I kept Ali & Andrew and myself distracted by looking at the medical posters around the room. I didn't want to see or hear anything but it turned out to be a very easy procedure and after about 5 seconds of crying he was fine.

OK so photo time. (That will stop me babbling!!)

First of all is Ben having a nap the other night and just being cute!

Andrew & Ali have both been wonderful with Ben. They adore him. They are so gentle and love just sitting and holding him or holding his hand. They love to help pat his back when it's time for burping and there have been lots of arguments about who lays on which side of him when he is lying on the play mat. LOL!

"Where's Ben" is the first thing I hear in the morning.

HOWEVER!!!! They are also testing the boundaries. They are fine when they are busy but turn your back for one second...

Last but not least I have actually done some scrapping. Well technically I just finished off a couple that have been sitting here for a while. It still counts though...

I am being a very good girl and trying not to stay up to late at night so I am going to head off now. I'll be up again in a couple of hours. :)

No News yet! But only 6 days until my due date!!!

This is a picture of my quiet rest times at home. Fancy wanting to actually lie down on the couch on my own for a few minutes. Somehow it always ends up like this or with little bodies reversed...

(Note to self - Find more flattering photos of self!)

I know I promised to be back a couple of days ago but I didn't have much to post, well I still don't so I'll stretch it out with some photos. LOL!! (Not to mention I have been spending quite a bit of time in the position shown in the photo above!)

Well the 'new' printer finally arrived. It's always a risk buying something like that off eBay but for the price it was worth it. When we finally got it set up we found it wasn't quite in 'excellent' condition. It sounded like it had marbles rolling around inside and printed with some lovely black lines down each page. The up side of it is that we were able to take out the parts that we needed and fixed up our old one...

That was until Mark decided we needed a fax machine for his business. So a few days later we have now ended up with a multi function centre that does everything except for serving drinks. At least I can get some journaling printed now and finish off a few layouts. YAY!!

Now for scrapping. I have a few layouts that require journaling. Hopefully I will get to post them soon. They are using some of my favourite pics.

For now I have this simple one to share. I think I posted this photo a little while ago whan we were having room sharing issues. Thankfully that has settled now. (Most nights anyway!) This is using more of the lovely Kaiser papers.

This is the layout the I have in SM this month. It was for the Delish product showcase. A little different for me. But it's good because it pushed me to do a layout containing me!! Eeeek.

And just a few family snaps to finish off with. We visited Healesville Sanctuary last Sunday. What a gorgeous day! This weather has been wonderful and is great for lifting the spirits. Ali was riding high on Dad's shoulders and Andrew had a cuddle with a lizard.

Hi Meaghan!! Thanks so much for visiting. I was thrilled to see your name there!! Yes it has been way to long, hopfully we can fix that soon!!

I got a call today from Scrapbooking Memories to send in my entry for the Masters final 100. Woo Hoo!!

I think I posted earlier that I wasn't expecting a call, and I wasn't but now that I have it I am excited. I think I am pleased because my entry is truly a reflection of my scrapping style and is true to me.

NOW I JUST HAVE TO WAIT FOR MY NEW (second hand) PRINTER TO ARRIVE so that I can print off all the bits and pieces I have to send in with it! Hopefully it will be here tomorrow.

Last Day of July

I haven't had anything to update with for a little while now so I have been a bit quiet here. I did manage to get Harry read within a couple of days. I found myself not wanting to start it because it meant THE END. But I got there with a few tears and quite satisfied with how it all worked out! Mark and I also used some of my birthday vouchers to treat ourselves to a Gold Class screening of the HP movie. I have issues with it but still enjoyed it.

I've got a couple of bits and pieces to share so here goes....

Firstly is a layout. They seem to be taking me much longer to complete at the moment. The couch is way too comfy. This is a layout of Ali a couple of hours after she was born. I wanted to put something together that recorded all her stats… It’s a simple one. I got to use my new scallop punch. It’s ace!!! I can make all my own scalloped edges now!

Loving the new papers from Kaiser!!! Gorgeous, double sided papers. Lots of variety and great colours. I have one layout under way using these and a few more planned so I will be able to post them soon.

I popped into the Melbourne Craft & Quilt show on Saturday night. Fiona and I waddled around. Well actually I did the waddling and she walked and carried my bags. What an angel!!!!

I got to visit Debbie at her stand. She’s such a STAR!!!!! No wonder she was kept busy all weekend. It was great seeing all the work from the SM Masters up close as well as the finalists for the Scrapbook Creations Colour Comp. It’s amazing seeing the work up close and the finer details that you don’t notice in the magazines and web.

I also got the meet the lovely Rachael Scholz. Another talented lady. It’s so nice meeting people from ‘the scrapping world’ in real life.

I am down to 37 days!!!!! And it’s almost midnight so let’s call it 36!!

I got so far as to ask Mark to get my suitcase down from the cupboard, which he did. Now I just have to do something about packing it. I am sooooooooo looking forward to meeting this little one. If bubs is a girl though, she will remain nameless still!!!! No idea what we are going to do!!!

What else???? Nothing that I can think of.

51 DAYS!!!!

That sounds so much better than 7 weeks and 2 days.

Just some fun scrapping last Friday night. I covered two magazine holders for the kid's colouring books. I have another one ready to do this weekend. They are very plain and simple but they look great. (I'll add a photo next time. The camera is out in the car and it is way too cold to venture out there!!!) Best of all the kids are using them and keeping their things tidy!!!! AMAZING!!!!

I have a layout in this months SM. It is in the Mustard Moon challenge section. It's Andrew and Ali with their cousin and some of their second cousins. This didn't photograph very well. It actually looks much better in the mag! LOL!!

I have lots of scrapping to do. Perhaps I should get to it...

It's done!

Yes it's done. My Scrapbooking Memories Masters entry will be posted off later today (seeing that it's just after midnight now). It's nothing fancy but it's me and I am very happy with it. Unfortunatly I can't share any of it though although I am busting to.

I do have a couple of other layouts I can share. Both are double layouts. The first one I started almost a year ago! Eek! Just couldn't get it together but I am really happy now it is done.

This second one is of Andrew and his first fishing trip...or should I say trips. The first page is his unsuccessful trip to the San Remo Jetty and the second page is the success he had at the local trout farm...

I have another one but I am going to keep it aside for the moment as I may send in an entry for the FK ET as well.

Ali and Andrew are slowly getting used to sleeping in the same room. Some nights they are great but others they are little ratbags.

They seemed to sort it out in their own way tonight. I took this pic when I went to make sure they were tucked in earlier.

Now I just have to try and get her down with this giant belly of mine in the way.

Speaking of my giant belly. I think it has spent the past few days in stretching overdrive. Ouch!

Only 59 days until my due date!!!!!!!!!!!

We have been re-setting up the nursery room.It's lovely getting out all the little little stuff again. I might as well enjoy it as it will be the last time. I am happy about that and I am sad about that too.

I haven't managed to recover all of my blog and email information off my old computer yet so I have been a bit slack in keeping in touch. I owe a few emails and lots of blog visits too. Hope to get to all of that during this week.

Yes I have photos and layouts to share. No I can't share them. This computer is playing up (We've ordered a new one!! YAY!!) And I get get any pics loaded up at the moment. GRRRRR!!!

Oh well the computer fits right in here at home at the moment. Nothing is working, well certainly not me. I AM GRUMPY MUM today! Lack of sleep on my behalf and the kids behalf is a major contributor. Any tips for a smooth transition to a 4 and 2 year old sharing a room???????? Another GRRRRR!!!

I did have a lovely week last week. It was my birthday on Thursday. Had a nice but hectic dinner with family and friends. The kids were all over the place so it was a bit hard to sit and relax. I got some great photos...THAT I CAN'T GET OFF MY CAMERA!!!
Debbie also spoilt me on the previous Friday night at the crop at Scarapbook Lady. Yummy cake, pressies and a delicious GIANT hot chocolate! Thanks Deb.

Things have been pretty busy around here but I have enjoyed some scrapping time.

First of all, Congratulations to Chris for her gorgeous cover of SM this month!! What a lovely surprise.

I was also looking forward to this issue as I have two of my favourite layouts in there. It seems like so long ago that I created these so it was lovely to see them again.

I have a few new layouts to share. Just have to scan them.

Got together with friends on Friday night for some scrapping. It is so much fun sharing this craft with others. Fiona completed another gorgeous canvas and Kirsty joined us for the first time and introduced me to Nestle Double Blend Hot Chocolate with Marshmellows!! Yum!!!!!

This Friday night I am off to a night photography field trip as part of my photography course. I am looking forward to the practical side of this course now.

Layouts, Crops, Beds and the shame file...

Now where was I before I started making awful jokes...

One layout this weekend. Just a fun one. It hasn't got any journaling and that's making me restless so I might have to go back and add some.

I had fun scrapping with Debbie on Friday night (Check out the layous she's not happy with on her blog...they're gorgeous, of course) . Along with Christine who is working on her 4th layout (Go Chris!) and Fiona, who experienced her very first taste of scrapbooking. Fiona and I continued on Saturday night and she finished off a gorgeous canvas that she will be giving to her mum.

Fiona and I also went into the Photography Show in Melbourne on Saturday afternoon. WOW!! So much to look at and so much I just don't know about yet.

Speaking of photography. I started taking classes at a (not so local) camera club last Wednesday night. Looking forward to going again this week and getting into some practical sessions as well.

The room switcheroo process has begun. Andrew has his new bunks... Thanks eBay!

And Ali has her new Big Bed that she calls Dorothy... I wonder how she will cope when I change the covers?

Ali will be moving into the bottom bunk in a few months to make room for the new bubs. They are both so good at going to bed at the moment. We hardly ever hear a peep from them. I wonder how much that will change when they are in together???

And now for the shame file. This is a site we came across by the side of the road on the way to swimming lessons last week...

It's hard to tell in the picture but the rubbish stretches out for anout 15 metres by the side of the road, along the edge of our beautiful bush land. That would have taken a few trips. Who does this sort of thing??!!!

Where have I been? Believe it or not BUSY SCRAPPING!!

This week I have...

*finished 3 CJ's

*finished a project for SM

*finished 1 1/2 layouts for Scrapsidaisy

*finished 2 layouts for the family albums

YAY!! And I have so many phots printed that I'll just have to keep going and going.

This first layout is using the photos from our camping trip that I posted a few weeks ago...

This next one is a quickie of Mark giving Andrew a haircut...

That's all I can share at the moment.

Ali celebrated her 2nd birthday on the 14th of this month. We had a quiet day at home on her actual birthday but had a fun picnic day at the local park with family and friends.

The kids had fun helping me make an Elmo cake and little mini Elmo's as well. I've got some great cooking pics that I will be doing a layout for.

Ali had lots of fun opening her pressies and was a very lucky girl. We gave her a baby doll that she has hardly put down in almost 2 weeks. This photo was taken just after she had finished opening her pressies at home. The clips in her hair lasted about 30 seconds...

Just a Quickie...

I just wanted to post this pic before I chickened out. I had mark take shome shots of me out in the yard yesterday. I needed a preggo belly shot for a layout I am doing.

I also had a play with Photoshop last night and used some really cool brushes to made the frame.

These are also the two layouts I have recently done for Scrapsidaisy...

Yes that's me on a giant Jumping pillow. And this one is Andrew on the day he was born. Over 4 years ago now. I just realised I forgot to put the date on it. I must remember that when it comes home to me.

Ali's birthday is tomorrow. She will be 2!!!

Birthdays Galore!!

We finished off last week with Andrew's 4th birthday. Why is it that they just seem to grow up overnight when a birthday comes around. Andrew enjoyed a little party with some of his friends on Monday and then a dinner with family and cousins on Thursday night. He was a very lucky boy and got some great pressies. Unfortunately the remote control plane he got is sitting about 20m up in a tree at the local oval!!!

We had a great family day at the Melbourne Aquarium on Thursday. It was wonderful watching Andrew & Ali bounce from one display to another and their total excitement at each new sea creature. Andrew even managed to wiggle his way in with a couple of school groups and joined in when they put up their hands to answer questions. He had no idea why he was putting his hand up though and didn't know what to do when they called on him. LOL!

We have just arrived home from celebrating Mum's 30th birthday (according to the candles on her cake). Mum will be very pleased to know that I have left Andrew's camera in the car so I have no photos to share...(Yet)

Speaking of Andrew's camera...If anyone is ever considering buying the Fisher Price Children's Digital Camera please contact me for a review...AND KEEP YOUR RECEIPT!! You'll be needing it. On the other hand Andrew is enjoying his new little Kodak camera. We are going off to get his first photos printed tomorrow.

Ali's 2nd birthday is in 10 days and Dad's only a few weeks after that.

Mark complained tonight that he had had a look at my blog and he was hardly featured...Well here you are Mark...

No more complaining...Start explaining!!! LOL!!

On the scrapping front. I have a number of layouts just waiting for journaling. I AM GOING TO GET THEM FINISHED THIS WEEKEND! I have sent off a couple of layouts to Leisa at Scrapsidaisy. Here are a couple of peeks before they go up on her blog. I had great fun with these and the gorgeous 3 Bugs Seeing Stars range.

Andrew's Adventures

My poor boy...

A recent trip to the shops resulted in Andrew slipping and banging his head on the edge of one of those rides that are there to treat children and torment parents. This resulted in a visit by an ambulance and a trip (in the car) to the hospital where his forehead was 'glued' back together and bandaged up.

He was so brave and other than the initial couple of minutes he hasn't complained at all. Thankfully it was a clean cut that could be glued so no needles or stitches were needed.

I have to comment on the kindness of strangers. There were about 4 women who just took over the situation and looked after us all. They were wonderful and I have no way to thank them other than to remember their kindness and pass it on when I am needed some time down the track.

I have had a great scrapping weekend, spending both Friday night and Saturday morning at the Scrapbook Lady cropping away happily with Debbie. I have 4, almost complete, pages to share soon.

Bubs, Mags and Loooooooong Weekends!!

First of all, Welcome to the World little Harvey Lawrence!!! Congratulations Sarah and Tony and we look forward to meeting your new bundle of joy!!

It has finally arrived!

I was very excited to get a letter a couple of weeks ago telling me that this layout would be on the cover of Scrapbooking Memories. I knew it was in the running but it had been a while since I had heard anything so I presumed nothing had come of it.

Anyway this is my gorgeous Andrew (on the right) and his buddy and cousin Aden. The Basic Grey Fruitcake papers were perfect for this layout and lots of fun to play with.

I was also lucky enough to have two other layouts published in this issue as well.

We have just enjoyed an extended long weekend away. It was wonderful being out in the fresh air and sunshine. This was the first time we had camped in the tent since the kids had been born. It was great fun, although hard work keeping track of the kids. Thankfully the caravan park is set up well for the kids and there was pleanty of activities and bigger cousins to keep them entertained.

Withing minutes of arriving the kids were filthy from head to toe and pretty much remained that way for the rest of the time we were there. Dirt is fun!!!

We also tried out mini golf...I think we will wait until they are a bit older to try that again. By the end of it I felt like joining Ali in her little nap...

One other activity we tried was fishing. Andrew was sooooooo excited about giving it a try and asked at least 10 times a day. Finally on the last day off we went to the jetty. We didn't hold out much hope and were proved right but he enjoyed it anyway.

After the non event fishing trip Mark decided to take Andrew to the local Trout Farm today. SUCCESS! Andrew caught 3 trout and 1 salmon. We all enjoyed the trout for dinner tonight. Yummo!

And the best thing about the Trout Farm is that they scale and clean the fish for you!!!!!

On the scrapping front...

*Finished a layout for a SM product challenge.

*Accepted another SM product challenge.

*Have a gorgeous collection of 3 Bugs - Seeing Stars - range from Leisa at Scrapsidaisy to work with. Looking forward to some great boy layouts!!

*Must, Must, Must finish off 3 CJ's and get them sent off.

Mmmmmmmmmm

I want to update but Mr Australia Post isn't complying at the moment.

I did get something else in the mail this week. These are my tiles from Tammy's Tile Swap. Thank you girls. They are going to look great. I am going to use them in a square frame with a family Christmas photo in the middle. My theme, in case you haven't figured it out was a Christmas theme of Red, Green & Gold.

A big THANK YOU to Tammy for organising this.

Have missed out on quite a few weeks of my weekely scrapping. Missing it like mad but hope to settle down and get back to it after this weekend.

I have a product challenge for SM to do this weekend. I've got some great photos to work with.

I have been so lucky getting lots of sleep ins and afternoon naps. DH is the best!!!! I have really needed them. I had a scan last week and everything is going well. Bubs had the hiccups. It was so funny watching him/her jumping around in there. It's amazing to be able to see that on the ultrasound.

YAY I finally have a couple of things to share.

The first is a layout I started Friday week ago and finished off last night. A fun one showing Andrew and his REALLY BIG Water Pistol that he got for Christmas...

These are a couple of sneak peeks for my projects for Scrapsidaisy.

I've got some Circle Journals to catch up on and lots of photos to get printed.

I have my next scan this Wednesday. Looking forward to seeing this little tacker again. I suppose he/she will be so much more than a blob this time so I had better not use that name again. I feel like have been hibernating for the past couple of months. I'm coming out of the 1st trimester now so hopefully it will get better from here...that is until the aches and pains and other (um) unpleasant things start. LOL! Ah memories!

Speaking of names...this little one may have to remain nameless. Nothing is taking my fancy. Luckily we have plenty of time ahead of us. May have to go with Andrew Jr or Ali Jr!

Here he is...

Well here he is. My KINDER boy! He has taken to it like a duck to water.

The only hard part is dragging Ali out when it is time for us to leave.

Yes! Yes! Yes! I have finally felt like scrapping again. I sent off my tiles for the tile swap being organised by Tammy. I started 2 layouts on Friday night at the Scrapbook Lady while scrapping with Debbie and eating pizza. And last night I got busy and did 2 layouts for my DT at Scrapsidaisy. It was so nice to be scrapping again. I'll post some pics soon. Just want to finish them off first.

Why so slack?

So why have I been such a slack blogger and scrapper??

The couch has been my best friend.
I have constant nausea.
Then there is the overwhelming fatigue.

Mmmmmmm. Sounds like someone is PREGNANT!!

Yes baby #3 is on the way! Due September 6th.

We had our scan today. We have a little blob and the little blob has a beautiful heartbeat! Even though it is #3 it is still amazing to see our little baby on the screen already moving around.

My scrapping world has been very quiet. I look forward to getting a lot more done as I start to feel better over the next few weeks (fingers crossed).

For now I will be busy working on my first DT projects for Scrapsidaisy and my tile swap for Tammy and the girls.

I only have one layout to share. It's a very simple one with a fantastic photo...

The text reads...
At first it seemed like a normal morning. I woke to hear Andrew playing with his toys in the family room and Alison stirring in her cot. I wandered out and said good morning to Andrew. I noticed a little white mark on his face. I asked him what it was and he answered casually, “cream.”
Getting more than a little suspicious I asked where it had come from. “Cream, Alison face,” was his reply. I hoped that this was a question rather than a statement. I raced up to Ali’s room to find her covered in nappy cream and quite happily chatting to herself.
As she was fine I took a moment to snap a photo of this priceless moment before cleaning her up. That stuff is impossible to get out of fabric!
I think I sleep a little lighter these days and jump up at the first sign of movement in the house in the mornings. The birds and possums have me up early some mornings.

Of course Mark had to come up with a joke about her skin being as smooth as a baby’s bottom.

It's been ages...

It has been ages and I promise to update more soon.

Thank you so much for visiting. I have been so excited to see lots of new people and do some blog surfung. Unfortunatly I lost lots of my links to your blogs when I changed over to the new blogger as lots of the comments were changes to anonomous. Grrrr!!! Hope I can track you all down and that will teach me not to save my links.

I am looking forward to catching up with Debbie and Chris tomorrow. Sorry about the weather Chris but we had to live up to our reputation of 4 seasons in one day.

And just a little pic to finish off with. Ali has started to be put into time out. From the second time she was sent there she went off by herself and sat straight on the mat. It took us ages to get Andrew to stay on the mat for his time outs.

She will sit there with her little head down and a sad look (until she catches me taking photos of her.)

She's just too cute.

Scrappy Stuff

Last week I was THRILLED to receive an email from Leisa from Scrapsidaisy asking me to become a member of her store Design Team. Can you believe it?!? I think part of my excitement is that I was lucky enough to meet Leisa while I was in Brisbane for the crop in September last year and know first hand just how lovely she is.

Thank you so much Leisa! I am so excited and looking forward to starting. This will be a whole new challenge for me. I am excited to be working with my gorgeous friend Debbie too!

I have been able to do a little scrapping in the past week. YAY!! These are both a little differnt for me and I am finally using some of the flourishes from the FP Biggest Boards set I have.

This first layout is of Ali and her new dolls Penny and Strawberry. These photos are from Christmas day. Not only do they show the fun she is having with her new friends but they also show so much of her personality at the moment. She's just gorgeous (if I may say so myself). LOL!

This second one is the first of a few layouts from our trip to Port Douglas. I just wanted to do one layout without journalling and bunches of photos.

I have almost finished another but Andrew is not having a good night and has been up a few times and has been quite upset so I have given it away for the night. (Given away the scrapping, not Andrew!) I had better not say too much about bad nights as he is having a little 'holiday' with Nana and Pop for the next couple of nights!!! Hi Mum!! Hi Dad!!

Layouts to share...

As I mentioned in earlier posts I have not done a lot of scrapping in the past few weeks.

But I thought I would share the little bits I have done.

This first one is from mid December. This is my little family...

This next layout is of Andrew and one of his mates. Love this picture...well I must because I have used it on another layout too and I don't usually do that.

This is the other layout I had used it on. It was one of my entries in the FK awards this year. I hadn't posted it here yet. It's a bit hard to make out as it comes up so small here.

Finally this is a quickie from the other night. This is one of my favourite pics of the kiddos from Christmas this year. It scanned a bit dark as it is a bit lumpy in the middle.

Post Christmas

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We had a busy couple of days that included a birthday celebration as well.

Kiddos had a fantastic day and were very spoilt.

Just a couple of pics... Ali with her new doll (I never imagined that I would ever buy a Cabbage Patch Doll but I adored this one as soon as I saw her) and Andrew opening his long awaited water pistol.

I felt like I snapped away all day with the camera but I am really unhappy with the photos. I have a stack of photos of the kids but hardly anyone else. Must remember this in the future.

I forgot to take a photo of the stockings that I made the other night but they are the same as these ones I made a couple of years ago. They are about 2ft tall, fully lined and hand and machine stitched. I made the template for the Santa from a Christmas card I got a few years ago. These are the stockings I made for Andrew & his cousins.

Hope to get into some scrapping soon. Spent Wednesday night cleaning out my room so I am ready to go now that I can actually see the desk.

T'was 3 days before Christmas...

The big day looms...
All the shopping is done.
Pressies will be wrapped tonight.
One visit to Spotlight and some grocery shopping and then I am staying away from that place!!

Christmas cards are done. I didn't save one to post here either.I have already decided on the design for next year. They are going to be very simple. NO CUTTING, NO GLUING and NO TYING TINY LITTLE RIBBONS!!

On the scrapping front. Not to much going on. I have done a couple of collections frames for pressies...

This first one was for my cousin's little one's naming day...

This next one is for my sister & BIL.
I had started a wedding albun for them but there was no way on earth that I was ever going to get it done so I put this together instead. I am really pleased with how both of these have turned out. The frames were picked up in the bargin section in a framing shop. Perfect!

Other than that I have been working on a couple of Christmas stockings. I have been sewing and hand stitching on MATERIAL instead of CARDSTOCK!!! LOL!!! I'll post a pic when they are done.

My copy of Scrapbooking Memories Masters has arrived!

I have had one look through already and am so inspired by what i have seen. (And so many times I said to myself...why didn't I think of that! LOL!) There is some really great stuff in there. I'm ready to get creating for next year.

I was so excited to see the work of my beautiful friend Debbie Kingston there!! Go Deb!!! You are awesome!

It was also fantastic to see the work of so many others I know from on the net and some that I have been able to meet in real life. Congratulations to all the Scrap Needs girls too! Congratulations Carole Janson. And Michelle Grant your work is awesome. It was wonderful to see you with a couple of HMs there too.

Now for my little bit. I was thrilled to receive an Honourable Mention for one of my layouts. It's right there on page 146! It's also the first time I've actually been on a page that I have had published, except for my backside on a layout with the kids. LOL! They did manage to muck things up though. The title and product list is from my single layout. Oh well! (Does that meant they were both featured then???)

Photos with Santa

Well it's that time of year again when mothers plonk the kids on Santas knee and hope they can get one photo with them smiling.
Ali was not having a bar of Santa this year. She screamed as loud as she could then just put her chin down and refused to look up. It was actually quite funny. I haven't seen her do that before.
Andrew was a trooper and chatted away to Santa and encouraged Ali but it just wasn't going to work.
In the end Santa shuffled over to the side. Ali sat up next to him but turned her back and held on to the edge of the chair with all her strength. At least she wasn't screaming now. With the help of a few fluffy toys we got a couple of giggles out of her and she relaxed a bit.
So here it is...My gorgeous kiddos and Santa...

Off to do some scrapping tonight at the Scrapbook Lady in Pakenham. Yay! It feels like forever since I have done any. Haven't even unpacked since I was thhere last time so that will make it easy.

Still waiting for my Masters entry to return home. I guess 99 other people are too. Only 14 days until the mag is due out. Cant wait to see it!

A Couple of Quickies from the Weekend...

I had a lovely day scrapping with Deb at Scrapbook Lady in Pakenham on Saturday. The time just seems to fly by though. I started both of these layouts and finished them off at home on Sunday night.
These are some of Ali's first photos just after she was born. I had some papers picked out for this but then saw the new BG Blush range and just had to use them. Yummo!!!
This didn't scan very well so the colours are a bit off. I will also do a second page with a couple more photos and the journalling.

This next one was a fun layout of Andrew's trip to the Monster Trucks...

Gotta love that fake smile!

I have some cartridges for my Cricut to play with over the next couple of days. I love my little bug!

Also got the Santa pic done today. Will post that soon. Cute story to go along with it. Isn't there always with Santa pics!?!

Thursday (Just!)

All is quiet on this Thursday night...

Just had the computer fixed after a virus scare. Looking around the house though, I am thinking that I would have been better off leaving it 'broken' and spending some time away from it. However here I am again.

Got a bit of scrapping done last night but it is a (long awaited) gift for someone so I can't post it here yet. It was nice to get a project finished that I had been thinking about for a while.

Got my FK entry back home today, all 5 of them. Oh well, better luck next time! I will post a couple of them here.

This first one was a very last minute layout. It is very simple and totally reflects how I was feeling at the time. It is one of those very rare layouts that feature me.

This was a fun family layout from a visit to Grant's Park (you'd never guess from the title!)

And finally this was one from the Brisbane Crop day back in September.

I've got a couple more that I will post another time.

Back again.

Blink and you'd miss it but Mark and I have been off in beautiful
PORT DOUGLAS
for the last 4 nights. This all came about back when Jet Star had those great specials earlier this year. Mark and I booked the trip then waited 5 months for it to come about.

Some quick pics...

What's a holiday without a cocktail or a mocktail or two!

Just hanging out with the other visitors... Mmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!

Well I was hanging out and he was working on his movie.

We had seen a huge crowd earlier and after a while had worked out what the fuss was about but I didn't have my camera. (Naughty Scrapper!!!) I went back to my room to get it but by the time I had run 10 000 kilometres there and back they had finished shooting the scene in the main street and he was gone.

Mark and I went for a walk up to the Marina and who should we see just metres away? Not only that, he just happened to have his shirt off too!!!! What more could a girl ask for than a tropical holiday and a movies star? Oh and a wonderful husband!!!!!!!!

I have one layout to share. I did this one just before we went away but didn't have time to scan and stitch it. This is a layout about Ali and all her milestones and other bits and pieces at 19 months. I had fun with this. It's come up quite small though. I'll try it again later.

It's been a while...

Yes it has been a while since I last Blogged. Got a slap over the wrist from Deb so here it is.

I have been doing a little bit of scrapping. Not as much as I would like though. Isn't that always the way.

Caught up with a layout from our trip to Brisbane. This is Debbie and I on the plane as we arrived home.

I have two other layouts but I can't post them at the moment for various reasons.

Got an exciting call from SM this week. Nothing to do with the Masters (waiting, waiting) but exciting all the same.

Loving the FRUITCAKE range from Basic Grey. Perfect for the Chrissy layouts and so much more!

Went Bathers Shopping - UGH!!
I Joined the Gym - YAY!!
It doesn't open for another 2 months - Ugh!
I was their very first member - YAY!!

A New Addition!!!

No time to Blog. My new baby has just arrived...

Paperific....eventually!

Went to the Paperific show yesterday. Left nice and early to meet Debbie and Elizabeth....Got there a bit late though. I had a little run in with a wet road and an embankment!!!!!

It looked something like this...

It was Mark's car too! Double Ooops!!

I'm OK though. A little sore today but no other injuries. I am just so fortunate that there were no other cars around at the time. I am also lucky that I ended up on the high side of the embankment as the other side is a nice big drop into the trees! You can see the drop right behind the Fireman.

A BIG thank you to my wonderful friends Debbie and Elizabeth who picked me up and still dragged me into to Paperific show. It was just what I needed!!!!!!

Loved the show. Picked up lots of little bits and pieces. Lots of yummy ribbon!!!! Got to see the Cricut in action too. Love it even more now!! Can't wait until mine arrives.

Got to meet the Lovely Phillipa form Lime Tart too.

There has been no scrapping going on for a few days now. Hope to get some done tonight. And hey, I've got some nice car pics to get printed too!!

What's With the Weather?

So 'they' say when there is nothing to talk about conversation turns to the weather.

So how about this weather we are having? Sunscreen and hats one day, Boots and coats the next. Ahhh Melbourne. You've gotta love it!

I'm off to Paperific this Saturday. YAY!!!!!!!! Haven't been to a show in a couple of years so I am really looking forward to it.

Bad News Good News

The bad news is that I rang to see about seating for our flight to Cairns. The bloke very casually says, "Oh hasn't someone contacted you? Those flights have been cancelled."
WHAT!!!!!
The good news is we organised other flights and we will be staying in Port Douglas for an extra night. Oh well. I'll find a way to cope with that somehow!

Just a little bit of scrapping recently...

This was made with the leftovers from the previous one. I finally got some good pics of the flappy thing Andrew does when he's excited and the face he pulls. He's a classic.

Loving this one... Got some great pics of all thie kids on this visit to the local Tulip Festival last week.

Lime Tart

Just a quick post. I am working tomorrow and should have been in bed ages ago.

My work is up on the Lime Tart site. It was really exciting to see it there and it has been wonderful to work with such a lovely kit. Thank you Phillipa!!!

The first is using the Collections frames and tiles...

In the next one I used the 6 x 6 papers on a 12 x 12 layout...

This is a 6 x 6 layout. Something new for me.

And finally a card...Love this!

I've got some more layouts to post in the next couple of days. Working Wednesday too so it's going to be a busy week but at least I will be earning some scrapping money.

Tuesday Update - Just a quickie!!

YAY!! I have finished my projects for LimeTart. I am really happy with them. Here are a couple of sneak peeks. They will be on the site on Saturday. Hopefully there will be some good light so I can take the picks tomorrow. These turned out a little dark.

Had a big scrapping weekend. Friday night with the girls and then all day SAturday. I have been looking forward to the all day crop at The Scrapbook Lady for a few weeks now but I lost my Scrapping Mojo along the way.

I forgot to mention in my lasy entry that when I got home from my 'lovely drive' in the country, I found an email from Kelly at Scrap Apple letting me know that one of my layouts had won their monthly prize. I had a great time picking and choosing some goodies using my gift voucher. They arrived today. I picked a couple of things that I wanted to try but wouldn't have normally picked for myself.

Well that's about it.

How Long does it take to get to Howlong?

It's an old joke but it's just not funny anymore.

I decided on a last minute trip to Howlong to meet up with Mum and Dad for a couple of days. Mark was working so I packed up the kids on Sunday and set off. All was going well until...

12:53pm...

Andrew had just answered the call of nature beside this road in the middle of nowhere. We had gone about 50m down the road and the battery light came on and then the water temp went right up to H. I pulled over and popped the hood. Everything was sizzling away. Called the RACV and two hours later we were on the road again with a new alternator belt. He also said he tightened the power steering belt. More about that later...

We travelled on the Benalla and turned into the petrol station for Gas. It was then I discovered that I couldn't steer!!!!!! It was like driving a car without power steering only 10 times harder...

3:42 pm...

That's right. Another call to the RACV. This time a cog on the Power Steering belt had ceased and couldn't be fixed on the spot.
Two hours later we were on the road agin with a hire car (Thank goodness for RACV Total Care). After one wrong turn we arrived at the caravan park just after 7pm.
A 4 hour trip took us almost 9 hours!!!

Oh and if things weren't bad enough when I went to pay for my gas I discovered that my Mastercard had expired the day before!!!

Thankfully my wonderful Mum and Dad had dinner waiting for us so we were able to sit and relax. The kids were sooooooooo good. They were stuck in the car for most of the time as they couldn't run around near the road.

The rest of the trip flew by with a hot trip to a local show, freezing dips in the pool, and an attack magpie that 'disappeared' while we were out one day.

Huge scrapping weekend coming up. Lots of projects to get through and things to catch up on. I am really looking forward to it.

Bits and Pieces

A small victory this week.
We have bought and sold lots of stuff on eBay and have only had a couple of hiccups along the way. Last month we were ripped off. Mark tried to rectify the situation but it seemed the guy had us on a technicality. It has played on my mind for a month and I can be very obsessive about things like this. I sent the guy an email earlier this week telling what I though of him and his business practices. I expected to get a rude email back or never here from him again. Instead I got an email offering a full refund! YAY!!! I have sent it back now and hope to see the money back in my account next week. Fingers crossed!!!

Mum and Dad are on a holiday at the moment. Mum always sends text messages through saying ‘we are only a couple of hours away when are you coming up.’ I usually laugh them off but when I got one today I sent a message back to say book us a cabin, we will be there tomorrow afternoon. So tomorrow morning I will set off with the kids to catch up with Mum and Dad in a small town near Albury. I am hoping the weather will still be nice and the kids can get some time playing in the pool. We’ll stay for a couple of nights. A nice little get away.

I got my package from LimeTart on Thursday. There are some lovely Spring papers and embellishments to play with there. I have a few ideas so will get on to that when we get back on Wednesday.

Only one layout to share at the moment. I have a couple of others that are almost finished. i'll be able to share them soon.

I love the pics in this layout. It was just one of those moments that I was lucky enough to catch with my camera.

Just to finish off. Ali was just walking thhrough the house calling out "owww, Owww, OWWW." I was trying to figure out what was wrong. Then she pointed to her jacket and showed me the cat on the pocket. She wasn't saying 'owww' she was saying 'meowww'. What a cutie!!!

What a Weekend - What Weekend???

What a crappy start to the weekend. MIL had the kiddos for Friday and Friday night. I spent the day visiting my cousin and her gorgeous little boy. So far so good. I then decided to visit Ikea. I am not a city driver so the traffic automatically puts me in a bad mood. The shopping was fine and I picked up a few bits and pieces for the kids and a few things for my scrap room.

The drive home was horrific. It took me an hour and a half. Hardly moving at times. By the time I got home my head was pounding. I was exhausted. I was in bed before 9pm. Anyone who knows me knows that that is highly unusual. I slept for over 14 hours!!!

The worst part of all this was that I missed out on my Friday night crop!!!

Saturday I went to the sale at The Scrapbook Lady. Picked up some bargins there and then went a little crazy with the Mastercard and picked up some other things I have had my eyes on. Got the gorgeous Flourishes in the Fancy Pants Biggest Boards. Yummy!! Have to get the flowers now!!

With Saturday being such a lovely day I assumed Sunday would be too. You'd think I was new to Melbourne with thinking like that. I planned on a day out in the garden. Didn't quite work out that way with the rain and thunder storms.

I did manage to squeeze in a bit of scrapping. This first one was one I started a couple of weeks ago. I just finished it off. It is the Scrap Needs girls from the Brissy Crop.

The second one is a quickie I did for Andrew. I called it 1525 days as he wasn't (and still isn't) quite 3 and a half. It's just a record of the things he enjoys at the moment.

Oh and one bit of very exciting news. I got an email from Phillipa from LimeTart to ask me to design with their October kit for the web site. If the past kits are anything to go by I am going to have a beautiful selection to work with. I am so excited yet terrified at the same time. Thanks Deb for putting my name forward.

Last Minute Rush

Once again I left my competition entry until the last minute. This time it is the FK Awards for excellence. I had lots of fun with some of these.

I have found that I work well under pressure. 3 of my layouts were done under time constraints. These are the layouts I love. The others were done at a more leisurely pace but I am not very happy with them. In the end I had 6 to choose from. My panel of advisors gave me their thoughts and I reluctantly agreed with them.

This is the layout that didn't make it. I already had another 2 with only single photos and as they pointed out this photo has a lot of shadows on it.

I was tagged a little while and completly forgot about it (sorry Deb) so here I go...

On a huge block of land with beach access.

A yummy warm tracksuit.

Changes all the time. At the moment I am loving pink.

Tough one. Sprts car for a little while but then it would wear off and I would like the SUV.

Summer. Love the Hot days.

Don't have one. Mark & I were going to get one for our 30 but we never got around to it.

Just another Monday

I am behind on this Blogging already.

Not too much happening at the moment. Just day to day stuff. Have enjoyed some gardening with Andrew in the last couple of days. He is constantly checking out the strawberries we planted. It's a little hard at 3 1/2 to understand that it will take a couple of months before we see any strawberries.

Lots of scrapping to do at the moment but I am having trouble finding the time. I have a couple almost finished that I will post in the next couple of days. If I get the layouts done by Wednesday I will send in an entry into the FK ET comp. (Leisa I am holding on to my Challenge layout for that so I can't post it at the moment).

Just over 2 months until our little getaway to Port Douglas. Looking for accommodation at the moment.

Big Brissy Crop

What a great weekend! I have never known a weekend to fly by so quickly though.

Debbie and I spent a wonderful weekend with the fabulous Chris Millar. She was so generous having us stay with us for the weekend and sharing her lovely home. (Do I need to mention how gorgeous her girls are!?!)

Chris also organised a fantasic crop day with croppers from near and far. It was great meeting lots of the Scrap Needs girls, finally putting faces to names. Thanks to all the girls who helped out with the day.
